Why We Started This Company
This tableware business began with a simple question:
"How can people and nature be connected at the moment of dining?"
Growing up in Japan, nature was always present—Mount Fuji in the distance, seasonal changes reflected in food, and the quiet understanding that life exists alongside an active volcano. It felt so natural that it was almost invisible.
After moving to the United States and spending seven years immersed in California’s fine dining scene, I began to see this differently.
I found myself noticing:
・Chefs who thoughtfully engage with and understand Japanese aesthetics and the sensibility of wa
・Guests who are quietly drawn to dining experiences with deeper meaning and context
・And that the tableware itself has yet to fully express a connection to Japanese natural materials
This led to a simple idea:
"What if Mount Fuji lava stone could be part of the dining experience itself?"
Mount Fuji has long been a symbol of harmony between people and nature. Its lava stone is a highly restricted material, with mining rights held by only two companies in Japan.
Working with Japanese artisans, we combine this rare material with traditional kumiko woodworking techniques to create fully custom tableware—pieces that bring Japanese philosophy into tangible form.
Today, our work is used by hotels and restaurants that share this vision.
In an era where sustainability matters, we believe true luxury lies not in excess, but in history, craftsmanship, and the stories materials carry.
Our tableware is designed to create a quiet moment—where diners can feel the connection between people and nature.
